Davido has decided to switch things up a little bit with his recent announcement regarding his concert in December.
The superstar singer took to his Instagram page to announce that his “City Of Davido concert” will now be holding at the Eko Atlantic and not the previously announced Ocean View Grounds.
The DMW boss formerly announced Ocean View grounds at the Eko Hotel as the venue after he was previously denied using Eko Atlantic for his concert.
You would recall we brought you news about the superstar condemning the management of Eko Atlantic for being influenced by some unknown people who despise him for his political affiliation with their opposition.
After getting denied of the venue, Davido quickly made arrangements for another venue in Ocean View grounds at the Eko Hotel.
However, it now seems Davido and the people at the Eko Atlantic have now come to a compromise as the singer, just few hours ago announced that his concert will now be staged at the Eko Atlantic venue.
Davido says the reason for changing the venue is as a result of accomodating his many fans.
The “City Of Davido concert” will be holding on the 27th of December, 2018 and it promises to lead music fans to a perfect end of 2018.
Reports circulating the media have it that Douglas Jack Agu aka Runtown, has been banned from entering the US.
According to Johnson Adumike, the General Manager of his erstwhile record label, Eric Many Entertainment, Runtown and his brother got the United States visa via the label, but his brother decided to stay back, exceeding the number of days he should have stayed in the US, thereby violating their immigrant visa rules.
Johnson made it clear it was Eric Many that reported the case to the US immigration services and followed it up so that Runtown could be banned.
He also said, the way Runtown got to know he has been banned from entering the US was when he and his mother went to the US embassy to renew their visas and were told by the consular officer that they fear if they were given the visa, they might decide not to return.
He however took the opportunity to also reveal that Runtown owes the label 800 thousand dollars and that even though the owner of the label has told him to forget about the money, he will make sure that he does everything legally possible to make sure Runtown pays the money.
YBNL Mafia which includes all YBNL signees, Lyta, Davolee, Temmie Ovwasa, Dj Enimoney, Young John, Pheelz, BBanks, Picazzo, Limerick, Fireboy DML and the boss himself, Olamide has finally released their much-anticipated project titled “YBNL Mafia Family“.
The album was initially planned for release on the 7th of December, 2018 but got shifted to today 14th of December, 2018 in order to deliver the best sound and melody for their fans.
The “YBNL Mafia Family” album consists of 14 complete tracks which come with different varieties of act, sound, and melody from each member of the family. It also has guest features from (Vado) Kizz Daniel, LK Kuddy, Kranium, and extended member, Lil Kesh.
Out of the 14 tracks on the album, 12 tracks are fresh vibes while the remaining two are Olamide’s hit songs “Motigbana” and “Poverty Die“. 11 of the tracks are produced by Pheelz while the other three are by Killertunes, Cracker Mallo and 2kris.
Mavins boss, Don Jazzy has opened up on how Kennis Music inspired and shaped him to do better music.
Don Jazzy said he started paying more attention to music during the Kennis Music era.
“I would say I started listening more during the Kennis music time because after Storm records, then it was a time for Kennis music and they came with Tuface, Remedies and all”.
“At that point, I was still in secondary school and I was like “Yo! They were putting a lot of swags into this my work”. So I started taking note of the music and it started shaping me into what I would like to do but then, there was no way for me to do it.”
Don Jazzy also said that Nigerian music is designed to make people happy during their struggles.
“Everyone is struggling; we all have a problem in the country but there are sometimes when we need that peace of mind which is when the music comes in.
“While some people are consciously trying to make you aware of what is going on in the struggle, there should be other people that would keep you happy when you are going through the struggles and that is where we come in”

9ice surely wasn’t playing around when he wrote those lyrics for his hit single, “Street Credibility” featuring 2face Idibia, now 2Baba.
The sad thing about these boisterous and somewhat boastful lyrics is that none of them has been able to live up to that promise, heck they don’t even look like they are on that path to begin with!
In the history of Nigerian music, only Afrobeat king, Femi Anikulakpo-Kuti, has come closest to bringing what is arguably the world’s most revered musical accolade home.
With a career that has spanned for decades and international collaborations with Common, Mos Def, Jaguar Wright and many more, Femi Kuti’s albums including Day by Day and Africa for Africa have won him Grammy nominations in 2010, 2011, 2013 and most recently in 2014.
That’s the farthest any Nigerian has gone with regards to bringing home a Grammy Award.
Enter Wizkid and Davido. Without doubt, currently two of Nigeria’s most promising Grammy prospects.
Davido, at 24, has accomplished much more than lots of artistes well into their thirties and forties put together. With several hits and accolades over his five-year-old career, Davido’s popularity has reached international status having worked with the likes of Trey Songz, Meek Mill and many others. Most recently, he signed a record deal with international music label, Sony BMG.
Then there’s Wizkid, the 26-year-old music boy wonder. In typical Naija fashion, there’s been comparison between Wizkid and Davido. I had always chosen Davido over Wizkid for a number of reasons, but recently Davido has been “falling my hand”. I could tolerate all his childish tantrums and excesses, his sometimes questionable fashion choices and his unproductive affiliation with B-Red, Danagog, Sina Rambo and all the other HKN wannabes; but it almost seems like this deal he signed with Sony BMG has become more of a curse than a blessing o! First of all, he has postponed his sophomore album to only-God-knows-when and he hasn’t dropped any new music for quite a while now.
Wizkid on the other hand has been making major moves of late. From his announcement at the Ghana Music Awards where he made public the new Ghanaian signings to his Starboy music imprint, to his going on tour with Chris Brown, his recent collaboration with Tinie Tempah and now his latest single,
Shabba on which he has American music heavyweights Trey Songz, Chris Brown and French Montana; did I also mention his feature on Drake’s chart-topping single, One Dance , which by the way is still atop the UK charts.
I may not necessarily like a lot of his songs that are centered on women shaking their endowments and all what not, but I would be the last person to hate on someone with such talent and prospect.
If Wizkid continues at this pace, my projection is that he will definitely bring home a Grammy award in the next few years… can I get an Amen?
